Getting started as a brand

Brand accounts are created by your Cohley team — there’s no self-signup. Once your account is set up, you’ll receive a Welcome to Cohley email from support@connect.cohley.com with a private link to set your password and log in for the first time. Opening that private link is the only way to complete first-time setup — your password is created when you open it, so there’s nothing to “reset” beforehand.

Welcome email button or link not working?

The setup button is a private, secure link. If clicking it does nothing, it’s almost always your email client or company security settings blocking the email’s content or links — not a problem with your account. Work through these:

  1. Email content/images are blocked (HTML not displayed). Click Display images / Download remote content / Show content, or choose to trust content from this sender, then try the button again.
  2. The email landed in Spam, Junk, or Promotions. Links in flagged messages are often disabled. Move the email to your Inbox and mark it Not junk / Not spam, then reopen it.
  3. The sender isn’t marked as safe. Add support@connect.cohley.com (and the domains connect.cohley.com and cohley.com) to your safe-sender / allowed-sender list, then reopen the email.
  4. Corporate IT or an email-security gateway is blocking or rewriting the link (for example Microsoft Defender Safe Links, Mimecast, or Proofpoint). Ask your IT or security team to allowlist connect.cohley.com and cohley.com and to exclude them from link-rewriting / URL-sandboxing and any external-domain restrictions.
  5. A pop-up blocker is stopping the new tab. Allow pop-ups, or right-click the button and choose Open link in new tab.
  6. The email is being viewed in plain-text mode. Switch the message to HTML view so the button renders as a clickable link.

The bypass that works: right-click the button, choose Copy link address, and paste it directly into your browser’s address bar. This uses the same private setup link without relying on the button to render.

Note: Forgot Password won’t help before setup — you haven’t created a password yet.
