How will I be notified when I complete a brief?

Modified on Thu, 28 May at 10:08 AM

When you’ve finished a brief, you’ll be notified in two ways:

1. The “That’s a wrap” email

Once the brand is happy with your content and moves you to the completed status, Cohley sends a “That’s a wrap” email confirming the brief is done.

2. In your Cohley account

The brief moves from your Active tab to your Past tab, and the brief card shows the status Completed.

What triggers completion (by brief type)

  • UGC and Professional briefs — the brand has to take a decisive action to move you to completed once they’re happy with your content. Once you’re moved, payment processing begins. See How will I get paid for my work if I’ve completed a paid brief? for timing.
  • Influencer briefs — the brand moves you to completed after your post is live and they’ve reviewed performance. Same brand-initiated action as UGC/Professional, just at a different point in the brief.
  • Review briefs — the exception: review briefs auto-complete once you’ve submitted your review and attached your proof of review. No brand action needed.

Why didn’t I get a completion notification?

If you submitted your final content but haven’t seen the “That’s a wrap” email or the brief moving to your Past tab, one of these is usually happening:

  • The brand is still reviewing your content — give them up to 2 business days to respond
  • A change request has come back — check your brief chat and look for a red change-request icon on your assets. See What is Cohley’s change request policy?
  • It’s been longer than 5 business days — message the brand in the brief chat to nudge. If they still don’t respond, email support@cohley.com with your name, the brand name, and the brief name
