What's in my Creator Hub, and how often does it update?

Modified on Thu, 20 Aug at 6:01 PM

Your Creator Hub is your brand's own working roster of Creators — not a directory of everyone on Cohley. That's why the number you see there is much smaller than the size of the Cohley Creator network, and it's working as intended.

What's in my Creator Hub?

Your Hub is made up of three groups:

Group What it is How Creators get there
Recommended Creators Cohley surfaces for your brand. This is by far the largest part of most Hubs. Added automatically — see below
Favorites Creators you've hearted. Shared across everyone on your company's account. You add them
Lists Named groups you build for a purpose (e.g. Top performers). You add them

How often does my Creator Hub update?

Every day. Cohley refreshes your Hub with new recommendations daily — you don't need to do anything to trigger it, and there's no button to press. It's worth checking back regularly rather than treating your Hub as a fixed list.

Recommendations also build up over time rather than being wiped and rebuilt each day. Creators who were recommended to you months ago are still there, which is why a brand that has been on Cohley longer, and has run more briefs, will have a larger Hub than one that joined recently.

How are Recommended Creators determined?

Cohley matches Creators to your brand primarily on what their content actually looks like — comparing their portfolio and audience against the Creators you've accepted and rated well. Your category matters, but it's a minor signal rather than the basis.

Two things follow from that:

  • Most Creators in your Hub have never worked with you. That's the point — the Hub is built to surface Creators you haven't found yet, not to mirror your applicant history. If you see names you don't recognise, that's expected.
  • A smaller group are Creators you already have a connection to — Creators who have completed a brief for you, ones you've favorited, and your ambassadors. These are surfaced too, and they're the reason your Hub gets more useful the more you run on Cohley.

The more briefs you complete and rate, the more signal Cohley has to match against. Brands that are new to Cohley, or that haven't completed and rated many briefs yet, get recommendations weighted more toward overall Creator quality until that history builds up.

Why do I see fewer Creators than I expected?

This is the most common question about the Creator Hub, and it usually comes down to one of these:

  • The Hub is brand-specific, not the Cohley marketplace. It shows Creators selected for you — never the full Cohley network.
  • Filters narrow what you see; they don't add Creators. If your Hub looks small, check whether a filter or saved search is still applied. Clearing filters shows your whole Hub, but it will never pull in Creators from outside it.
  • Newer accounts have smaller Hubs. Recommendations accumulate over time, so a brand that joined recently has had fewer refreshes behind it.

If your Hub is completely empty, that's different — contact your CSM or support@cohley.com, as it usually means your account setup isn't finished.

How do I add more Creators to my Creator Hub?

Alongside the daily refresh, you can grow your Hub yourself:

  • Heart Creators from the Performance tab — find Creators with high engagement on previous work.
  • Heart Creators from the Content Library — add Creators whose assets stood out.
  • Heart top performers from past briefs — go to a completed brief and heart from the completed stage.
  • Run a Survey — Creators who respond can be organized into Favorites and lists for future briefs. See What are Surveys?
  • Bring your own ambassadors — Creators who join through your branded Ambassador page are added to your Hub automatically, under a list called Joined via Brand Page. See Bringing Ambassadors to Cohley.

Naming your lists clearly (e.g. Top performers, Professional-level content) means you have a short list ready the next time you launch. See Managing your Creator Hub lists.

Can I add a specific Creator who isn't in my Hub?

If they aren't signed up for Cohley yet, yes — see Bringing Ambassadors to Cohley.

For Creators who are on Cohley but not currently in your Hub, we're working on the best way to let you search for them. Reach out to your CSM if you have a specific Creator in mind and they can assist.
