Asking for a Reshoot vs Asking for an Edit

Timeline: If you have to ask a Creator for an Edit or a Reshoot, please send feedback to the creator within 5 days of the content due date. For example, If the content is due 6/20, content feedback must be sent by 6/25

RESHOOTS

Reshoot: Brands can ask Creators to reshoot their content if there is a clear violation of the brief guidelines. For example, if the brief includes “DON’T wear a red shirt” and the creator films their content wearing a red shirt, the brand can ask the creator to reshoot that portion of the video.

Brands cannot ask for a reshoot if there is not a clear violation of the Brief.

Reshoot timeline: If the creator is required to film new content, brands should give the creator 5 days to submit their new content (This includes Saturday and Sunday). Brand MUST give the creator a deadline in the chat section.

When you’re building your Influencer brief, make sure you include at least a week or two in between content due date and post live date.

Here is a Reshoot change request example:

“Hi CREATOR,

Thank you for submitting your content! In the VIDEO/PHOTO, it looks like a couple of requirements were missed from the brief:

[Copy/Paste from brief] “DON’T film in a bathroom”

[Copy/Paste from brief] “DON’t wear red clothing”

Can you please reshoot the portion of your video that is shot in the bathroom in your red clothing? We prefer the content to be shot in the kitchen with neutral clothing as outlined in the brief. Please submit the new version within the next 5 days. Please let us know if you have any questions.”

EDITS

Edits: Brands can ask Creators for one round of edits. Please consolidate any of the team's feedback into one message to the Creator. Edits can include the voiceover, text on the screen, music in the background, or trimming / rearranging video clips. This does not require the creator to reshoot any portion of their content, only make small edits to their existing content.

Edits timeline: Brands MUST give at least 48 hours to the creator to submit their edits.  Brand MUST give the creator a deadline in the chat section.

Here is an Edit request example:

“Hi CREATOR,

Thank you for submitting your content! See edit requests below:

  • Can you please change the text on screen to say X instead of Y

  • At the end of your voice over, you pronounced our brand name incorrectly, can you please edit that portion?

Please submit the edits within the next 2 days. Please let us know if you have any questions!”
