What are all my options for completing Creator Payments?

Paying Creators is easy once you have funds in your Cohley bank!

To add funds to Cohley, you can request an invoice, create a credit card transaction, or add funds via Shopify. Shopify has transaction fees plus state taxes and credit card transactions include a processing fee. Hint: You can also add a credit card to Chargebee (our invoicing platform) once you receive your invoice and no fees are charged there. 

When you are going to pay a Creator, you will see a red button to Add Cohley funds if you do not have the sufficient amount to pay a Creator. 

If you choose to request funds via invoice, they will be sent to your billing contact provided at the time of contracting. It’s important to request the invoice as soon as Creators are accepted so that funds are available when it is time to pay (at most 30 days after content is due). To see if you have enough funds in your Cohley account, look at the individual brief or your Cohley homepage for all upcoming Creator compensation.

At an individual brief level, you will see Cohley funds and Expected funds for all accepted Creators in that brief. 

In this example $2,200 would need to be added in order to pay all Creators.

Once you have enough funds, choose Send Mass Payment or Send Payment per individual Creator.

1. Mass Payment

Want to pay everyone in the Completed tab with one click? Upon clicking 'Send Mass Payment', confirm the total and the number of Creators matches your expectations. This will include everyone in the Completed stage of the brief that has not been paid and their budgeted amount. You will want to make any individual compensation changes before paying via Mass Payment.

Upon confirming 'Send payment' the number of Creators next to the filter button for Paid and Not Paid will update and each individual Creator will have a notification that their payment in the amount of $x was sent.

You can use your Cohley bank to pay each creator individually once you have moved them to the Completed tab. 

1. Click the "Send payment" button and the amount owed to the creator based on the compensation structure you set in the brief will auto-populate. If you negotiated a different payment amount with a creator, you will need to manually change the payment amount in this step or in the budget field next to the Creator's name.
2. See the above information about adding Cohley funds as necessary, or Send Payment if you have sufficient funds.
