Commonly Asked Questions

Do you have Google Doc templates?

Sure do!

How do I import a Brief I already created outside of Cohley?

  • Click "Create Brief", then click "Import & Customize your Brief". Upload your PDF and wait for Finn to create the Brief for you. Please review before launching to add any final touches + parts of the brief Finn might have missed.
  • If you want to download an old brief in Cohley and upload it to the new brief version, please follow the guide linked here.

How do I convert my past Briefs into the new format?
You can use our new import tool, more information on how to get started is here!

How do I ask for 2 versions of my video?

  • If you're looking for the exact same video to be submitted but you'd like a version with text + a version without, you can put that in the "Concept" box. Note that this will decrease the character count!

What links are supported for the sample content section?

  • Instagram
  • TikTok
  • Youtube
  • All other content should be saved to your desktop and uploaded directly into the Brief wizard.

How can I include multiple concepts in a brief?

  • If you'd like Creators to choose from a list of concepts, outline them with bullet points in the "concept" section. Then in the creator targeting stage, ask a single selection question, "What concept would you like to film?"
  • If you have too many creators choosing the same concept, you can always reassign concepts at time of acceptance
  • If your concepts are tied to different products, please list concepts out in the concept section and send more detailed information in a google doc to the creator at time of acceptance based on the product you're sending them. We highly recommend avoiding a concept per product as it can be difficult to manage, but this option is available if necessary

What does the Brief look like for a creator?

  • Once your brief is live, click "brief overview" at the top of the brief. Your view is the exact same as the creators!
  • Here is a sample brief

I have more information I'd like to share with creators on the brief once they're accepted, how do I do that?

  • If you'd like to share additional information with creators after they've been accepted, you can send a chat to the creator, upload a file, or send them a link to a document to review

Can I edit the Brief once it's live?

Once a brief is live, here are the only sections you can edit:

  • Title

  • Deadlines

  • Custom Creator Insights

  • Creator Criteria

  • Increase Payment

Cohley doesn’t allow edits after a creator has applied to a brief to protect both Brands and Creators. If you need to add any additional information to the brief, please send it to the creator in the chat section so they can approve and confirm the changes before moving forward.
