Saving and reusing custom filters

Modified on Tue, 25 Aug at 5:00 PM

Custom filters let you save a set of filter selections you use often, name it, and pull it back up with one click the next time you need it — instead of rebuilding the same combination on every brief.

Where custom filters live

You can save custom filters in three places:

  • A brief — filtering the Creators who have applied. This is where most brands use them.
  • Creator Hub — filtering your wider pool of Creators.
  • Surveys — filtering survey respondents.

A saved filter belongs to the area where you saved it. A filter you save on a brief appears on your briefs; one you save in Creator Hub appears in Creator Hub.

How to save one

The filter panel is live — as you change your selections, the results update immediately, so you can see exactly what your filter returns before you save it.

  1. Set the filters you want.
  2. Choose Save to custom filters.
  3. Give the filter a name and save.

It is then available from the Custom filters dropdown, and on a brief it will be there on future briefs too — so a combination you rely on every time is set up once, not every launch.

An example

Say you regularly look for Creators who have a dog and hold a five-star rating. Apply those two filters, save them as one custom filter, and that pairing is one click away on your next brief.

Custom filters are shared with your team

Saved filters belong to your company account, not to an individual login, so everyone on your team sees the same list. Give filters names a colleague would recognise — for example "Dog owners, 5 star" rather than "my filter 2".

Custom filters vs. Favorites and lists

These are easy to mix up, and they do different jobs:

  • A custom filter saves criteria. It re-runs every time you use it, so it keeps surfacing Creators who match — including people who are new to you.
  • Favorites and lists save people. They hold the specific Creators you put in them and do not change on their own.

They work well together. Use a custom filter to keep finding Creators who fit what you are looking for, then add the ones you want to keep working with to a list or to your Favorites. Those saved Creators are who you would invite to a private brief.

It is fine for a filter and a list to share a name — one is how you find people, the other is who you found.

For more on lists, see Managing your Creator Hub lists.

You do not have to filter every time

On a brief, Creators who are recommended, hearted, or marked as maybe are automatically brought to the top of the tab. Recommendations are based on who we think is the strongest fit for you, and we keep that group deliberately small — roughly the top 10% of your applicants — so it stays a shortlist rather than another long list to review.

If you are happy to start from our recommendations, you can work straight down from the top without applying any filters at all. Custom filters are there for when you have a specific group in mind, and the two are designed to be used together.
