Managing your Cohley User Settings

Modified on Fri, 31 Jul at 11:58 AM

User Settings is where you manage your own Cohley login and decide which Cohley emails you receive. It is personal to you — changes here affect your account only, not your teammates'.

Where to find it

  1. Click the drop-down arrow in the top right of Cohley, next to your company name and your own name.
  2. Select User Settings.

Your name and email address

The top of the page holds three editable fields:

  • Name and Last Name — how you appear to your teammates and to creators in brief chat.
  • Email Address — this is both the address you log in with and the address every Cohley email is sent to.

To change any of them, type the new value into the field and click Save changes at the bottom of the page. You do not need to contact Support to change your own email address.

Changing your email address changes your login. After you save, use the new address the next time you sign in. There is no separate setting for "send notifications somewhere else" — notifications always follow the email address on your user account. For the full list of what Cohley sends you, see Emails you'll receive from Cohley.

Resetting your password

Click Reset password under the Email Address field and follow the prompts.

Email preferences

Two Cohley emails are yours to switch on and off here. Everything else Cohley sends is transactional and can't be unsubscribed from in settings — again, see Emails you'll receive from Cohley for the full picture.

Receive weekly summary email — on by default

Updates on content, briefs, and company activity, delivered once a week. In Emails you'll receive from Cohley this is called the Weekly Brand Pulse — same email, and the subject line includes the company name.

When it's checked, a Select Companies list appears beneath it. Every company you have access to is selected by default; untick any you don't want a summary for. Unticking all of them switches the weekly summary off entirely.

Get emails when Creators message me — off by default

Emails you as soon as a creator sends a message in an active brief. This one is off until you turn it on, which is the usual reason people find they aren't being emailed about creator messages.

Turn it on and you can pick which companies it applies to, with all of them selected by default.

Save your changes

Nothing on this page takes effect until you click Save changes at the bottom.

What isn't in User settings

Adding or removing teammates. User seats aren't self-serve — email your Cohley Customer Success Manager with the new user's full name, email address, and which accounts they should reach. See How Do I Add a User to My Account?
